Conversations across generations have always been difficult. And for a country like Kenya, where cultural systems that ensured the continuities and relevancies of these
dialogues were disrupted, and where the very things that define the tradition, or culture − the way we do − have changed significantly, these fractures are even more pronounced.
In this Issue of Jahazi, we share some of the
conversations from a series of Intergenerational Dialogues fora held in Nairobi as well as related and topical articles
