Conversations across generations have always been difficult – and for a country like Kenya, where cultural systems that ensured the continuities and relevancies of these dialogues were disrupted, and where the very things that define the tradition, or culture − the way we do − have changed significantly, these fractures are even more pronounced.

The Issue examines the generational culture divide in Kenya and shares discussions from a series of fora held to discuss the tensions, negotiations and transitions in Kenya’s creative and cultural spaces as well as related and topical articles.
